At the lower farm a few miles away from
the main Settlement campus, we have an orchard of 350-400 apple
trees of 20 different varieties. In the spring, the trees are pruned, and in the
fall the apples are harvested. Some of the apples are sold
locally, and the rest are used to make apple butter, which is
marketed both locally and at craft shows around the country
through the Log House Craft Shop.
