| The gardening program at the Settlement
begins every spring with the sale of seeds to the community.
Because these seeds are donated to us, we are able to sell them
at a very low cost. This spring the
farm began to implement a community garden program in which individuals
can have a plot of land at the Settlement to grow
any vegetables they may need.
Additionally, the farm grows vegetables,
such as sweet corn, for use in the
Settlement's food service program.
This summer the farm began a Farmers Market. This provides an
avenue for Henderson Settlement and community families to sell
vegetables and fruits they have grown. |
