Alternative Work Camp Projects

These are examples of jobs that may be available to those people who may wish to do something different or perhaps feel limited in some area. These tasks are available on an "as needed" basis by departments and vary from day to day. No adoption is necessary but interest in any of these areas should be expressed to the work camp project coordinator as soon as possible after arrival and not directly to a department.

Campus duties that can be done on an as-needed (by the department) basis include but are not limited to:

  • Sorting clothing in the Thrift Store

  • Food pantry

  • Cutting Campbell's labels

  • Farm/greenhouse work

  • Grounds help

  • Cleaning

  • Craft Shop

  • General maintenance

  • Youth Ministry help

  • Library

  • MIHOW (young mothers program)

In addition, other support jobs may be available that will directly support the ministries of Henderson Settlement.

Henderson Settlement • PO Box 205 • Highway 190 • Frakes KY 40940
